We’re beginning the Amazon Workouts again! I’ll post the workouts I give to my local Amazons for you. You can modify them as needed and I only have the following equipment in my garage…

  • 33 lb bar bell + weight plates
  • 35 lb kettle bell
  • 25 + 15 lb. dumbbells
  • 10 lb. medicine ball
  • wooden dowel
  • step stool
  • pull up bar
  • yoga mats (for sit ups, etc.)

You would be able to do most of these workouts at a local gym if you don’t have the equipment I do. You can do these at home,too… if you like. Over time you’ll see a significant difference in your attitude and peace of mind, not to mention your luscious body.

Here are two local Amazons who did the following workout here by the coast on a windy, albeit… sunny afternoon. We also had a local musician who we asked to practice his music where we could hear it, which he did happily and we all totally enjoyed! (couldn’t help dancing at the end of the workout, myself… just easily slipped into my normal goofiness after the last bit of walking lunges.)

We get together a few times a week to workout, either right outside my place or we’ll go down to the beach nearby and throw bar bells around down there. Needless to say, it’s fun to do this together.

This workout was pretty easy due to all three of us having minor injuries…

ENJOY!

Warm up:

  • Run 400 meters
  • 2 rounds of 10 air squats and 10 push-ups (fully extended or on your knees)
  • Run 400 meters

Workout:

21, 15, 9 reps of each…

  • Overhead squats with empty barbell (or simply a dowel, broomstick or something)
  • Sit-ups
  • 100 meters of walking lunges

Easy peesy! You’re done. Just warm down for 10 or so minutes with good stretches and a lite run or walk/run.
